PODCAST & MEDIA LITERACY WORKSHOP
Narratives: The Voice of Teens in Podcasts
With psychologist and communications specialist Prodromos Tarasis
The workshop is neuro-inclusive and open to neurodivergent adolescents.
Saturday, March 21
Start: 14:00 Ι Workshop duration: 90'
EVENT LOCATION: Basil & Elise Goulandris Foundation, Library
As part of its initiatives to cultivate critical thinking, Psaroloco introduces an innovative Podcast Production Workshop, focusing on the use of new media as tools for responsible communication and self-expression. Based on the "Media Literacy in Action" methodology, adolescents engage in an experiential process of digital content creation, learning how to transform their personal narratives into audio documents.
Participants are trained in media message analysis, communication ethics, and fundamental production techniques (storytelling, recording, and broadcast structuring). The workshop provides a safe space where young people can process contemporary social issues, develop creative and technical skills, and understand the power of their "voice" in the digital world. The initiative bridges the psychotherapeutic perspective of narrative with technology, encouraging teenagers to evolve from passive consumers into active and conscious content creators.
Accessibility and Participation
The workshop is inclusive and open to neurodiverse adolescents. Due to the experiential and group nature of the activity, participants should have a degree of autonomy and communication skills that allows for their active participation in the workflow.
