MY LITTLE - BIG MUSEUM :

A CREATIVE JOURNEY INTRO IMAGINATION AND STORIES

With Author Sofia Dartzali

Workshop for children aged 9–12 (in Greek)

Photo: "I Found a Box" (dir. Éric Montchaud)

Saturday, March 22

Start: 12:00 Ι Workshop duration: 90'

EVENT LOCATION: Basil & Elise Goulandris Foundation, Library

In this year’s workshop, Psaroloco merges the world of literature with the magic of the silver screen. Inspired by Sophia Dartzali’s book

"Where Did Everyone Go? " and the short film "I Found a Box" (dir. Éric Montchaud), we explore the power of imagination in the face of stillness.

In this workshop, children aged 9 and up participate in a dynamic, interactive experience. Through collaboration and teamwork, they are introduced to an experiential process of decoding the "invisible," where they are invited to collectively imagine and create the contents of a "tiny museum" enclosed in a box. Through the personification of objects, participants experiment with creative writing, giving a voice to the exhibits and narrating their "secret lives" when the lights go out.

Creative Challenge: Bring Your Own Hero to Life! The exploration doesn't end at the workshop! We encourage you to read the book "But Where Did Everyone Go?" and discover its characters.

Choose your own hero from the book: For example, Sinbad (by Paul Klee), Frida (by Frida Kahlo), the girl with the dove (by Picasso), the Bull from Guernica (by Picasso), the "Man with the Apple" ("The Son of Man" by Magritte), or any other painting you like.

Record or write your conversation with him (up to 200 words) and send us your mission!

Submission: psaroloco.project@gmail.com Subject: My Own Hero – "But Where Did Everyone Go?" Deadline: Until March 10th

"Where Did Everyone Go?": A celebration of art and museums

by Metaixmion Publications.

Where Did Everyone Go? by Sofia Dartzali, illustrated by Vassilis Koutsogiannis, is a tender tribute to the restorative power of art and the vibrant world of museums. Through the journey of little Pedro—a boy who 'escapes' from his frame to seek the truth within a silent museum—the story introduces young readers to art movements and the profound value of creativity. The inventive narrative pairs perfectly with high-aesthetic illustrations, reminding us that art is never static, but a living source of light and friendship that invites us to view the world through fresh eyes.
